What it does
The Middle East Map Quiz is a free browser game that asks you to find 17 Middle Eastern countries on a blank map, from Egypt and Turkey to Iran and Yemen. Each turn names a country and you click it; a wrong click highlights the right place. Practice mode repeats your misses until you place them, and timed mode records your best time.
How to use it
- Find the named country
Click the country named above the map. Bahrain has a round marker; zoom in for Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon and Palestine.
- Zoom in for small places
Use the + and − buttons, pinch on a phone, or hold Ctrl and scroll. Drag to move around once you have zoomed in.
- Drill your mistakes
At the end you see your score, your time and everything you missed. Press Practice the ones you missed to replay only those.
Limits and notes
- There is no single official definition of the Middle East. This quiz uses a common one: Egypt, Turkey, Cyprus, Iran and the countries of the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula.
- Borders come from Natural Earth (1:50m) and are simplified so the map loads fast.
- Scores and best times are kept only in this browser. Clearing site data resets them.

Usually, yes. Egypt is in Africa, but the Sinai Peninsula lies in Asia and the country is almost always counted as part of the Middle East.
